Chris’s role in Westwood is that of a Producer, with a focus on helping both agents and clients improve their business.
Chris enjoys helping people, businesses and communities grow and develop, while focusing on the needs and market trends in their particular interest. Working with the team at Westwood makes the transition seamless and effective, while increasing clients’ financial effectiveness, by securing the best product at the best rate.
Prior to Westwood, Chris had an insurance background with Liberty Mutual and AAA subsidiary, Energy Insurance.
Outside of Westwood, Chris builds programming for the development of student athletes at universities, enjoys traveling the world, and fashion.

Dale Nelson joined Westwood when he and his wife Gina decided to leave sunny (humid) Florida to build their dream home in Black Mountain, NC.
Dale started his insurance carreer after college with The Hartford. He also spent several years with CNA which allowed him to branch into the Medical Professional Liability area of Insurance. This has been his passion ever since, specializing in the healthcare niche. He thoroughly enjoys the long-term relationships he has developed with insurance carriers and retailers. Having worked for carriers, retail and brokerage gives Dale a great perspective of managing all relationships. Helping agents solve problems for their clients, being an extension of their agency when needed and providing responsive service feeds his enjoyment of his long-time brokerage career.

Michael serves as President of Westwood Insurance Group. Prior to his current position he served as Vice President of Wholesale Distribution for American Safety Insurance (purchased by Fairfax Holding Company) and Director of Sales for The Westwood Group (purchased by American Safety Insurance). Michael began his insurance career with Provider Alliance, a pioneering risk purchasing group providing professional and general liability to the senior living industry where he worked closely with a small, highly talented group of underwriters, claims specialists and risk managers. Provider Alliance proved to be an exceptional environment to learn and practice all elements related to running a successful insurance operation. Michael graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education from Kent State University. Previously, she taught high school then moved on to various roles at several local universities. Currently Elizabeth resides in Northfield, Ohio where she lives with her husband, daughter, and beagle named Spud.

Zoe holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in clinical counseling. Previously, she provided mental health services as a therapist.

When not working, Mary enjoys walking and family game nights and spending time with her grandchildren. She is also very involved in her church and has taught Sunday School to third grade girls for over 30 years.
